Version 1.30 (21 February 2023)

  • Yes its been a long time, but the world wide pandemic has hit us all. The floods and cyclone that hit New Zealand this month has also caused some challenges. We hope you are all safeand well
  • Major improvement here is that we've fixed the processing of burst reports when no records are retrieved.  The scheduler form options now apply to bursting reports
  • Inside thescheduler main administration form, you can select an item in the schedule and using the menu item Run/Run Report in Viewer Form. This will open the report viewerform and load the report file identified in the schedule

Version 1.29 (6 August 2021)

  • We like to hear our clients have upgraded from cViewSERVER to our new CrystalKiwi Scheduler.And we like to make things easy for those that upgrade.So this version supportsthe <listfilename> option to include an external list of email addresses.  You really should use the {+listfilename} option, but those list files can be in all sorts of places.Sothis allows you to upgrade them at your leisure.

Version 1.28 (26 February 2021)

  • SAP have recently released Service Pack 30 of the Crystal Reports run time.  We now include this download and a new release that works with it.  We continue to include links to the previous release for our many existing customers.

Version 1.27 (4 February 2021)

  • A client raised an issue about using a field object such as a date mask or a parameter value in the file attachments in a bursting run.
  • Bursting run attachments also supports the * and ? wild cards in the file names.

Version 1.26 (1 February 2021)

  • Action if no data on a bursting item now processes correctly.
  • Service Manager now uses the sc  command line instead of InstallUtil to install, start and stop the CrystalKiwi Engine
  • You can specify the user and password when you install the CrystalKiwi Engine Service
  • Processing of Remote Folder and cViewMAILDoc items now processes correctly
  • Schedule Properties form lets you specify the TimeZone and the Encryption the Report uses.
  • New Forms for creating Encryption items
  • Form changes to the TimeZone form.
  • Can now delete items from a cluster

  • Improvements to Diagnostic Report (File/Settings/Test Settings)
  • Business Calendar error with start month incorrect.
  • Two new Exel export options for "Excel Record Retain Position" and "Excel Workbook Retain Position" where the column releative positions are retained. This is available in Export to Disk, Email and Bursting.
  • New Export formats included on Disk Export function inside report viewer
  • Remove button added to Database Connection Form
  • New Scheduling options for MonthAgo Start and MonthAgo End to allow for mutliple months in the past or future.
  • On Scheduler Administration form the backup and restore menu items work as required.
  • File Compression and Encryption options available for Reports and Messages in Scheduled reports to disk and email.
  • Full Install now available for this release

Version 1.25 (October 2019)

  • Domain shortcuts have always worked in the report viewer and bursting applications.  You can now edit the domain shortcuts from inside those applications.

Version 1.24 (October 2018)

  • Dynamic Parameter value calcuation of YearNumber, FinYearNumber, MonthNumber and DayNumber.  They can be adjusted in the same way as dynamic dates, and will roll over properly.  So a value of "MonthNumber+1" in December will create a January value of 1.  DayNumber values will roll over on the number oif days in the current month.

Version 1.23 (June 2018)

  • Schedule Properties form changes the background color of the FileName if it doesn't exist.
  • New Menu Item in Schedule to run the schedule item inside the Report Viewer form
  • Advance Schedule Item NextRunDate records details to the Schedule History File
  • Advance All Schedule Items now working properly.
  • Advance All Schedule Items ignores items with future dates or unscheduled (no next run date)
  • Advance All Schedule Items records all changes to the Schedule History file

Version 1.22 (April 2018)

  • When we moved our web site to a new hosting service we discovered that the hyperlinks on the new server were case sensitive, so all the help links inside the applications have now been redirected to the correct address.
  • New startup form to select which application you want to start with (Viewer, Bursting or scheduler)
  • Can use F5 or F6 to refresh report viewer Form
  • AutoRefresh of a report viewer form now available.
  • The scheduler can now schedule a report for the last working day of the month.
  • Scheduler can now set a final date for a report to stop processing

Version 1.21 (July 2017)

  • Date mask field option of {" is now obsolete and has been replaced with {{ as per the revised field help.
  • Regional date formatting with day.month.year is now working in next run date field calculations.
  • SMTP form changes to the Processing field are now logged in the history file
  • Remote Processing History now visible on History form
  • New menu item to process remote folder on demand
  • Schedule main form can use File/Open to open temporary alternate database
  • New Menu Items for On Line Help, Latest Version Information and User Manual
  • Calculation of Date Field values for Quarters fixed
  • New Date fields for FirstQuarter Start and End, SecondQuarter Start and End, ThirdQuarter Start and End and FourthQuarter Start and End
  • Date fields with adjustments above 10 or below -10 can now be processed on the parameter form
  • Can set a maximum and minimum values for date field adjustments
  • Database password can be displayed by clicking a check box
  • String parameter values in date format are not processed as dynamic dates
  • Bursting processing of numeric parameter values fixed

Version 1.20 (October 2016)

  • Reset Form Location menu item on main explorer form and schedule admin form.  To be used when form isn't visible when the application starts. Service Manager can also reset both main forms.
  • BBC field in scheduler was using incorrect tag lookup
  • New forms for Options
  • NoRecords Processing setting on option form
  • HTML paging on option form
  • Include in body of message setting now on option form
  • Item History statistics now saved as rolling month values
  • Blank report frequency multiplier no longer causes next run date to hang
  • New refresh button in report viewer to refresh all report objects.  This fixes a problem with the page counter when the parameters are refreshed.
  • New diagnostic form to test settings

Version 1.19 (June 2015)

  • Service Manager.exe will ensure that an alternate shared folder path must finish with a "\"
  • Custom calendar schedule frequency calculations of next run dates fixed

Version 1.18 (April 2015)

  • New options for batch command line processing includes modification of formulas and setting to an alternate data source

Version 1.17 (February 2015)

  • Dynamic parameter support can be at a higher folder level
  • Dynamic Parameter support is now an option.

Version 1.16 (August 2014)

  • Field processing in Bursting Email Subject, Message and Send To now fully supported
  • SMTP server can specify port number.  Default is Port 25 but other port numbers are now supported
  • Database form error when no entries is fixed
  • Report Bursting works properly in scheduler
  • Report Bursting supports bursting run for multiple parameters
  • Search function on the bursting form
  • Setting a report to "Not Scheduled", would process the report once.  Fixed.

Version 1.15 (April 2014)

  • Problem with scheduling a burst run for a report with more than one parameter fixed
  • Send Report form includes option for "From"
  • Export to HTML includes attached images in Email export
  • Scheduled HTML exported reports include the images and the HTML is modified to change the folder location for those images.
  • HTML and DHTML exported files must have an htm extension

Version 1.14 (November 2013)

  • Error with scheduler not supporting some export formats now fixed.  Text, XML, HTML, RTF, etc now export correctly
  • Service Manager now automatically requires administrator access to run
  • Service Manager displays install logs for add and remove service
  • CrystalKiwi Engine installs as Automatic
  • CrystalKiwi Engine installs to run as LocalSystem
  • Backup File saves into correct folder

Version 1.10 (October 2012)

  • Command Line processing for multiple arguments now correctly processes folder and file names with a space
  • Email processing function will create Shared\Output folder if not present
  • History File Merge can be controlled by a viewer workstation or by the Scheduler Engine

Version 1.9 (July 2012)

  • Bursting form allows for additional attachments and a custom sender.  Can use the Schedule Management UFL to customize this for each message using a tag file.
  • Database Connection and Email Settings forms now available from Scheduler and Bursting main forms
  • Multiple email addresses can be used.  Separate with a ; or use a {+filename} to invoke a list file.
  • List file processing in senders, subjects and messages.  Can use {+ to separate with a ; and {& to keep on separate lines).

Version 1.8 (May 2012)

  • Scheduling Features now available
  • Cluster tag files will override and combine with schedule item tag files
  • History settings form completed
  • Email history logs on regular schedule
  • Archive history log files to a server folder for later merging and reporting
  • Further checking for invalid characters in an email address. Will reject email addresses with "%$#!&^*()<?>”:}{|\][" in their address
  • Additional Email address checking to exclude addresses with a ".@" and "@." as well as those characters at the start or end of the email address.
  • New form to edit tag files from within the application

Version 1.7 (October 2011)

  • SMTP processing options added for suspended email and use test address
  • Email Address checking now rejects addresses with adjacent periods or @ characters
  • Shadow Copy of Email messages now fully operational
  • Extended Bursting features including Pause and Selecting a Range of Values to process
  • Can now Burst to a Printer destination
  • Bursting now saves settings to a BST file. Can save multiple BST files and open each setting independently
  • Printer list rebuilt when application restarts
