Introduction to Product Activation

Every product in the CrystalKiwi applications suite include a product activation mechanism.  This is a simple and fast way for you to upgrade your trial version to a full product.

CrystalKiwi Explorer is installed as a fully working trial version.  The trial will expire 30 days after you first use this application.  Contact sales@crystalkiwi.com if you require an activation code to extend your trial period.

If your trial period has expired you will not be able to run any of the forms or features.  The product activation form will be the only one you will be able to use.

If there are multiple licenses, the form might not be able to display all the relevant information on the visible form.  You can resize the form and the label will resize to display the information.  The form will remember those settings the next time you display the form.

Activation Process

Click the "Buy Now" button to display our Product Purchase Page.  If you downloaded the install from one of our reseller sites, then you will be directed to their web site.  On completion of the purchase process you will be sent a product activation code via email.

On purchase of a product, you will be sent an activation code. 

On the main form use the menu item Help/Activate product to display the form (on the right).  Any existing license information will be displayed on the form.

Enter the name you wish to use for the license and the Activation code we sent you.

Click the "Apply" button to save the product activation information into the shared work area.  This will activate your product for the machine you are currently using.

The "Help" button will take you into the help files for that product and the Buy Now button will take you to the reseller site to purchase a license for this software.

The "Exit" Button will close the form

Product Features

CrystalKiwi Explorer is available in several levels.  You can use it as a company wide report viewer and buy various volume licenses for report viewing.

You can also use it for report bursting to send multiple emails to all your clients with a client specific version of your report.  This feature uses a parameter in the report.

You can also purchase an activation code for report scheduling.  This applies to both desktop and server based scheduling.

If you want to run reports from the command line, you need a viewer license.

Extend your trial period

Our activation process includes a mechanism to extend the trial period.  Let us know how long you need and your trial period can be extended. Contact sales@crystalkiwi.com or your local reseller if you require this activation code.
